Trade and white-label manufacturing: the key facts

Precision Cutworks provides trade laser cutting and engraving for businesses that need outsourced production or extra capacity. We cut and engrave acrylic, wood, plywood, MDF and selected plastics, engrave slate and suitable supplied items, and can produce white-label work without our branding. We support one-off trade jobs, batch runs and repeat supply from our workshop near Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

What is trade and white-label laser manufacturing?

Laser cutting and engraving carried out for another business, which then sells or uses the finished items under its own name. We produce to your specification and you deal with your customer.

Who is it for?

Sign makers, product designers, small manufacturers, retailers, marketing agencies, event companies and independent businesses.

Which materials can you process?

Acrylic, wood, plywood, MDF and selected plastics for cutting and engraving; slate and approved supplied items for engraving. See Materials & Capabilities.

What can you produce for the trade?

Sign components and lettering, product parts, branded and personalised products, display and point-of-sale items, packaging inserts and engraved merchandise.

Do you take on one-off trade jobs?

Yes. Many trade relationships start with a single job. We also welcome urgent overflow enquiries, and will tell you honestly whether we can meet your date.

Can you supply on a repeat basis?

Yes. Tell us your expected order frequency, typical batch size and annual quantities, and we’ll discuss a repeat supply arrangement.

Can you work with materials or products we supply?

Often, yes. Tell us exactly what the material is and its thickness, and we’ll confirm it’s right for your project before we start. See Customer-Supplied Materials.

Which artwork formats do you accept?

For cutting, we need vector artwork: SVG, DXF, PDF or AI files drawn at 1:1 scale in millimetres. PNG and JPG files are suitable for engraving photographs and raster images, or as a reference if you need help preparing artwork.

How is trade work priced?

Trade work is quoted per job or per agreed product, based on material, quantity, machine time and delivery. Ask us about trade and volume pricing for regular orders. See Quotation & Payment Terms.

How do I make a trade enquiry?

Use our quote form and answer the trade questions on frequency, batch size and white-label requirements.

Working together

Production capacity without buying a laser

Buying, running and staffing a laser is a big commitment. Many businesses would rather send their files to a reliable partner and receive finished parts, ready to use or sell.

We work from your drawings and specifications, raise any questions before production, and keep approved files on record (with your agreement) so repeat orders are straightforward.

For white-label work, we produce items without our branding. Tell us how you need items packed and labelled, and whether they should be sent to you or directly to your customer, and we’ll confirm what we can do. Artwork and designs you send stay yours: see Artwork & Intellectual Property.
