Every laser cutting and engraving job is quoted individually, because the price depends on the material, the size and complexity of the design, the quantity and delivery. The more of these details you include, the faster and more accurate your quotation will be.
What to include
- What you need made: a short description of the parts or products and what they are for.
- Cutting, engraving or both: if both, mark them in your file using separate colours or layers.
- Dimensions in millimetres: the overall size of each part, or the finished height of lettering.
- Material and thickness: for example acrylic, plywood, MDF or slate. If you’re not sure, say so and we’ll advise.
- Quantity: including any breakdown by design or size, and whether you expect to reorder.
- Your artwork: vector files (SVG, DXF, PDF or AI) for cutting; PNG or JPG for engraving photographs, or as a reference if your artwork needs preparing.
- Required date: if you have a deadline, tell us when you enquire.
- Delivery postcode or collection: we deliver across the UK, and collection from our workshop in Staveley, Chesterfield is available by arrangement.
- Who supplies the material: we can supply it, or you can supply your own material or items, subject to a compatibility check.
If your file isn’t ready
You can still ask for a quote. Send a sketch with measurements, a photo or a reference image, and choose “artwork that needs preparation” or “design assistance” on the form. We’ll tell you what is needed to turn it into a production file. Our guide on preparing files for laser cutting explains what a production-ready file looks like.
What happens next
- We review your requirements, materials and artwork.
- If anything is unclear, we’ll ask before quoting.
- You receive a tailored quotation by email. Quotations are valid for 30 days.
- Once you approve it, your project moves into production.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, card or PayPal. See Quotation & Payment Terms for details.
